What is resistance training?

Resistance training is any exercise in which you contract your muscles against an external resistance. Common modalities include free weights, machines, resistance bands, kettle bells, and bodyweight training.

Why do we focus on this?

As life moves on if we don’t keep up some type of resistance training program, muscles will begin to lose size and strength causing routine tasks to become more difficult. By engaging in a routine program we can counter and improve upon these loses in strength.

What if I do not feel comfortable with free weights?

When you come to Next Level you will get an initial training session teaching you how to use and become comfortable with everything in your program. If you still feel like you aren’t quite there everything in your program is adaptable to all comfort levels.
