Futsal + Pick-up

Come in, Get playing

If you asked me what my favorite sport is my answer would no doubt be Futsal. To me, as a player, coach, and fan it has always provided a unique experience with it’s speed of play, unique tactics, and high skill component.

When players spoke out in 2022 that their club did not offer a strong futsal option I took the opportunity to create a team and enter into the Minnesota Futsal League. We learned, played, developed and had an amazing time so we are back for another year!

Due to the underserving of female athletes our program is open to just female players for now to help provide opportunities that aren’t always found.

Program at a Glance

  • This year we are thinking of taking a different approach and looking for tournaments to participate in instead of a league. This will allow players more flexibility with practice commitment and weekends.

  • That is 100% okay! Our structure is open to everyone reguardless of affiliation. In fact, we encourage anyone interested to come by and check it out!

  • Currently we are thinking the structure will be as follows.

1-2 weeknight practice options (depending on player count).

Every Saturday morning will be a 3v3 practice, followed by a 2v2(or 3v3) open tournament following a similar structure as below. This will be open to all gym members, but the practice will be kept to futsal specific members. Check below for an example!

  • Simply fill out the form linked by the button below to add your interest, from there we will reach out and discuss it further!

This is not a vetting process, everyone is welcome, it is more to work with you to determine the best option!

If you want to attend Saturday tournaments simple join as a gym member!

  • Yes! All futsal members get a gym membership and access to our Strength and Conditioning program to help keep you healthy, strong and on the pitch.

Jonathan Swenson: Safesport Certified

Jonathan coaches on a philosophy of creativity. To him, the simple choice is rarely the best choice. With an emphasis on enjoying practice he focuses on building a safe and fun enviornment for players to develop. He recognized that for a womens team, female voices are incredibly important and looks to his females colleageus for support.

Maggie Clair: Safesport Certified

Maggie is a Masters Student at Northwestern University studying Counseling Psychology. She uses her background in a coaching philosophy that puts the player before all else. “Players are PEOPLE first, then athletes.” Her players will never feel like a pawn in a system, by embracing individuality she builds a team around the players instead of placing the players into a system. She takes pride in her players and loves to help foster their unique personalities.

King of the Court Tournament

In partnership with Sweet Green (sweetgreen.com) we hosted our first King of the Court Tournament. The rules were simple.

  • 3 minute games

  • Winner Stays (3 game limit)

  • 3 Points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss

  • Most points at the end of 2 hours wins!

It was a huge success and opened up opportunities to host more! Reserve the court for a 2 hour block and run your own tournament!
